The Fyrquel series of fire-resistant fluids by ICL-IP America are fully synthetic triaryl phosphate esters or blends containing tert-butylated diphenyl phosphate. These fluids are widely used across various industrial applications. Phosphate ester fire-resistant fluids are self-extinguishing, effectively reducing the risk of fire hazards and helping to protect lives.

Function:
Phosphate ester-based fire-resistant fluids are the preferred choice of major industries such as power plants, steel mills, and incineration plants, as well as leading aerospace equipment manufacturers including GE, Siemens, Boeing, and Airbus.

Features:
The heat of combustion of Fyrquel EHC is 13,500 BTU/lb, compared to 19,500 BTU/lb for petroleum-based lubricants. When exposed to hot surfaces like steam pipes, Fyrquel EHC produces smoke without ignition. This minimizes the risk of rapid, catastrophic fires spreading to other materials, preventing severe equipment damage and protecting personnel from secondary hazards. In contrast, fluids like polyol esters (POE) and polyalkylene glycols (PAG) have higher heat of combustion and are capable of supporting combustion.
